I wanted to use some elements from some retro games to use on my desktop but when I try to use them they get all fuzzy. So I set the emulator to a 1x size, screen capture the window, crop the window out, and it looks great. I import it into GIMP and can scale it but I can't find a file format to save it at that doesn't make it fuzzy. I wanted to import it into inkscape but when I save as a bmp, png, jpeg, it is always fuzzy, not the sharp pixels I want.
Is there a way to export it from gimp to a file that stretches well? Or am I using the wrong program entirely?
