[RELEASE] Change your theme color easily - Mint-Y color changer forked to support Mint 19 and new Mint-Y theme

Post by HattDroid » Sun Oct 28, 2018 5:31 pm

Hi,

I've just updated Mint-Y color changer to support the recent updates of Mint-Y and the new repository it's been hosted on.
Here's the link:
https://github.com/HattDroid/Mint-Y-Colora-Theme

Recently updated to 19 and was disappointed to find out that Mint-Y color changer wasn't working anymore.

This repo solves the issue and just got updated to support the new architecture of the now-official Mint-Y theme repository. If you're tired of the default green accent of Mint, give this a try: just put the two colours you'd like in the script, follow the small guide and there you go, you got yourself your own custom theme.
Hope this helps. ;-)

PS: Thanks smurphos for advising to post on Linux Mint Forums.

Just letting people know that I created updated fork that:
  • solves some issues with incorrectly deleted files
  • replaced some colours that were not replaced
  • remakes some assets that were not remade after deleting them
  • adds automation script to build lot of themes at once without needing user input
  • etc..

I also rebuild all themes that were in old Mint-Y-Colora-Theme-Collection repo.

I only tested few, so let me know if any of them look different then they should.
