I set the dark theme in Linux Mint 20, but that makes the text in the text editor very hard to read for most highlight modes. I could not find something on the forum about this nor any possible adjustments in the settings.
How do I change this?

there in the end you will see an option called preferences click on that
now you will see the 3rd or 4th option named themes on the left or right side
now choose the theme you like you will be able to see now
that should be enough
hope you will be able to see clearly after you select a correct theme
long story short
text editor-->edit-->preferences-->themes-->choose a theme you need
