Changing login theme
my login theme automatically changed to the ubuntu login theme once i finished installing gnome-tweaks. Ive removed gnome-tweaks but it didnt turn back I tried using the login window but didnt work. Are there any commands to change it back to default? Im sorry if this is an obvious thing I just installed mint a few days ago

you can try this. Go to Menu > Administration> Log in Window> Appearance tab. Under Themes select the following:
GTK Theme Mint-X
Icon Theme Mint-X Dark
Mouse Cursor DMZ White
Under Background it should be /usr/share/backgrounds/linuxmint/default_background.jpg
See if that works.

But no it didnt work, it is still the purplish-pink unbuntu default theme.

Are you using gdm3 as your login screen? Check it by running the following command:
If yes, run this command:
Select lightdm, reboot.
Code: Select all
xed /etc/X11/default-display-manager
Code: Select all
sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
