Changing login theme

Post by Nutz »

my login theme automatically changed to the ubuntu login theme once i finished installing gnome-tweaks. Ive removed gnome-tweaks but it didnt turn back I tried using the login window but didnt work. Are there any commands to change it back to default? Im sorry if this is an obvious thing I just installed mint a few days ago

you can try this. Go to Menu > Administration> Log in Window> Appearance tab. Under Themes select the following:
GTK Theme Mint-X
Icon Theme Mint-X Dark
Mouse Cursor DMZ White

Under Background it should be /usr/share/backgrounds/linuxmint/default_background.jpg

See if that works.

Are you using gdm3 as your login screen? Check it by running the following command:

Code: Select all

xed /etc/X11/default-display-manager
If yes, run this command:

Code: Select all

sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm
Select lightdm, reboot.
