Conky calendar not working in LM19 [solved]

Post by AndyMH » Fri Oct 26, 2018 10:07 am

Two identical conkys running on two near identical T430s, one running LM18.3 the other LM19.0.

The LM18.3 conky displays correctly:

The LM19 conky is missing the calendar:

The relevant lines from the conky are:

Code: Select all

${color0}${font Andale Mono:size=9}${execpi 43200 VinDSL_Cal_8=`date +%-d`; cal -h | sed -e '1d' -e 's/\<'"$VinDSL_Cal_8"'\>/${color red}
I have to admit that I ripped off this from someone else's conky a long while back. Note, also have this running on my 'home brew' running LM19.0 (see sig line) and it is producing the same result - no calendar.

What's gone wrong between 18.3 and 19.0?

There's an odd change to cal in Tara for reasons unknown to me :?

Use ncal -bh in place of cal.
