It seems that not all of my windows borders are accepted by Compiz with Mint 18 MATE. I had no issue applying any of the gtk2, gtk3 or Metacity themes with Mint 17.3 MATE under Compiz. If I switch window management to Marco or Metacity then the borders change according to the theme that I've chosen. Not with Compiz. Only a very few affect any change at all.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Compiz as well?

And way do you think default is Marco mate ???
Compiz has tons of issues, mate, we all doubt it is worth hassle for "Wobbly Windows"

Sure you can do from Linux something like that.

If you wanna fight with all those libraries, and have a time for it, and some Quad or Octo Core just to run your environment

Re: Mint 18 MATE Compiz Windows Borders Theme Issue
Compiz itself is functioning just fine. The gtk-windows theme engine is what's giving me the issue with some of my gtk2 and 3 themes. I was wondering if someone else was having a similar issue. It's not a really big deal.
