[solved] Toggle switch to connect ON/OFF bluetooth device
https://images.app.goo.gl/6uQm9i91c2wqtuV99
I found this screenshot on the web. I would like just the same. because I often connect/disconnect my bluetooth speaker, in order to switch between sending music from my Linux pc or from my smartphone. The little toggle in from of the speaker name would be very handy. Where can I find this applet?

What you show is what I currently have. I need to click the bluetooth system tray icon, it opens a new windows where I click my bluetooth device, it then opens a new window with the connection ON/OFF toggle button.
If you look at the link I posted, the toggle button is directly available when you click on the bluetooth icon. Do you see what I mean?

The picture you posted is the program gnome-bluetooth, you could try installing it from Synaptic package manager and see if it works

Re: Toggle switch to connect ON/OFF bluetooth device
I have 'Gnome-Buetooth tools' installed by default on Linux Mint. when I right click the icon, and click 'About', it says 'Blueberry Applet'
Re: Toggle switch to connect ON/OFF bluetooth device
Clicking through to the page from the image in the OP, it appears it may be a bluetooth cinnamon applet. I don't use Cinnamon, so can't offer any more.
And that was for Mint16, so who knows if it's still available.

I'm surprised that there is no demand for an easier way to connect/disconnect bluetooth speakers. Speakers are something you connect/disconnect all the time. Why do we need four mouse-clicks for this?
Yes the image I found is from an old version of Mint and might be obsolete now. Last year on Ubuntu I had such an applet, but I was unable to find it again now.

I don't use my speakers much but all I have to do is turn them on and they connect automatically

Re: Toggle switch to connect ON/OFF bluetooth device
Well, I found another way:
when I want to switch source from pc to smartphone: I don't touch anything on the pc and
- I turn off my speaker (through a button on my speaker)
- then I turn my speakers back on. It is now ready to be connected with my smartphone.
when I want to switch back to listen to my pc sound,
- I disconnect my smartphone in Android (to free the speaker) and
- I click on the Blueman-applet icon of the system tray, and in the menu I find my speaker in 'Recent connections'

On my LM 19.1 Cinnamon install, when I right click and then clickcedricoola wrote:I have 'Gnome-Buetooth tools' installed by default on Linux Mint. when I right click the icon, and click 'About', it says 'Blueberry Applet'
Remove 'Bluetooth'
the Blueberry applet is removed from the panel and stops hiding the actual system tray icon provided by blueberry. Which doesn't provide any additional functionality, but maybe with gnome-bluetooth instead of blueberry it does..?There's an issue about this on github:cedricoola wrote:I'm surprised that there is no demand for an easier way to connect/disconnect bluetooth speakers. Seems last March at least some functionality was added (follow the PR link, it's merged now). Don't know how long it takes for us to get this new functionality though...

It's good to see someone reported it. Hopefully it gains attention.
Thanks for telling me.
