Xfce desktop covers Conky [SOLVED]

Postby yirgen » Sat Aug 08, 2009 12:30 pm

Hello!

I've addes Conky to Autostart in the the "Sessions and Autostart"-dialog.
When I reboot my machine Conky is seen a few seconds, until my Xfce wallpaper is applied to the desktop. Conky is then "under" the wallpaper, so I have to restart Conky for it to be seen.
Not a total disaster of course, but what program in XFCE sets the background wallpaper? Can I delay the autostart of Conky a few seconds?

Thanks in advance!

Edit your Conky configuration file and set "background" to "yes". It should work.

You can create a script to start conky.
Example:

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
sleep 20
/usr/bin/conky
Save file and make sure it's executable.
Then change the autostart to run it instead of conky.

rekik: I'm afraid that didn't work.
