You likely figured out by now that mv is also be used to rename files, which is what your syntax inadvertently does.
You know what?
I Def read that in the Tutorial but for whatever reason I didn't put it together
Anyway, I read your post at work and when I got home I checked....and sure enough when I
ls in
Documents there is a folder named
Downloads....and sure enough when I
cat that folder it gives me the text I wrote in nano.
*You'll likely have figured out by now that I'm learning a command or two along the way
Would be nice to learn without making the mistakes but I have the support around me.
I also learned that
ls -l will list a bunch of info, most useful of which right now is the file extension.
I did notice
ls -l will list folders but not their contents, I wonder if I could do something to list the contents of the folders within the directory I called
ls -l in
Take a nap and try again.
