Extension won't work with maximized window. you can do it via theme editing

You're right, never/rarely use them so didn't know until you pointed this out.

Looks like the original screenshots are using a dock - plank? which I don't use.

Ok, I was looking at my post about the Window Decoration and realised this is about SCREENSHOTS.
Rather than add another post, I removed the title bar decoration thing and made this post a Screenshot instead :D

Just for something wierder that I usually post. My Mint 20.2 Xfce Desktop "ScreenCapture"

Lenovo is connected via VNC Remote Viewers to a Raspberry Pi 4B running Raspberry Pi OS on Workspace 5, and a Gigabyte Brix Running Mint 20.1 on Workspace 2. One monitor, and one keyboard and Mouse controlling all three concurrently.

Video Wallpaper is one click to open Zenity, ove click to confirm and one click to set the wallpaper. Any video on the drives can be selected (takes 2 more clicks) and Audio or Silent can be chosen. Single click on any Workspace
(on a Panel icon) deactivates it.

The Desktop Video mp4 below was Captured using ffmpeg from the command line. I find it is easier and works better than any of the GUI programs.

Mint and a couple of bash scripts :-)
I probably won't be able to play Desktop Wallpaper if Mint Xfce implements Wayland rather than xorg, so I'll enjoy it while I can.

In the meantime, capturing the Desktop as a video using Mint is as simple as:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -f x11grab -video_size 1920x1080 -framerate 15 -i :0.0 -c:v libx264 -qp 0 -preset ultrafast screentest04-15fps.mp4
Click in the Terminal and do Ctrl + c to stop the file, and give it a little while to render.
The filename can be as simple as 'video.mp4'
If Show Previews is ON in the File Manager, it is oblivious when it is finished processing.

The command is entered into a Terminal opened in the Directory where the file is to be saved. 5 minutes of video is about 1GiB, but there are ways to get the resulting .mp4 file down to about 50MiB - still in high res . . .

Minting can be fun

Plank kinda annoyed me, so I removed it.
I'm still wanting to master Conky so I have less to add to my Panel :?

Blends beautifully with 'Cinnamon' as a theme.
Another one that looks like one could get lost in it. Like Alice through the wormhole . .

Edit:
Is that a standard Cinnamon Wallpaper? If it isn't - it should be ! :)

I have MATE, and no it's not a cinnamon wallpaper.
I get my wallpaper at wallhaven.cc

Haha, I'm obviously not familiar with anything other than Xfce these days. It would however be a nice Cinnamon wallpaper. On the other hand, the Mint-Y Duck theme you are running with that wallpaper seamlessly integrates into the Desptop.
Congrats !
