Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
That's a bit of a 'car crash' of a Desktop !

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
This might help:
If you Right Click on the image in Dropbox, and choose 'Copy link'
Then in your post, look for the icon between the Star and the Chain thing. It is a box with what looks a bit like a mountain in it. Hover over it and it should say 'Insert image' and some other stuff.
Clickl that, and Right Click - Paste the link you copied between the tags. In your case it looks like a lot of rubbish, but it will be fine.
This is what you will paste between the except I had to remove the 'https://' from the beginning to stop it looking like a link and show the whole content of the image address.

and THIS is the end result:
Once you are used to it, if you are using Dropbox for your images, you can just type
B U T if you delete the image from DropBox or if it times out it will be gone from the forum post.
That's why a lot of us use Imgur and other sites that store the images as long as you have an account. You're welcome to PM me if you need to know how Imgur works.
In the mean time - I like the desktop. Very clean and suits the pic:

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
You can get around that by using an image hosting site and uploading there. Then click on your image, add a Title etc and look for something that says 'bbcode', and copy and paste the link they provide in your post.
An example of a FREE Image Host is Imgur.
https://imgur.com/
An example of the 'stuff' we accumulate from our posts is:

If you create an Imgur account (free) you can easily post links to full size, full colour High Res images here. And it doesn't chew up forum storage space

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
Had a little fun with the splash screen after installing LM 21.1 Beta
I installed a new Mint plymouth splash screen and the modified with Linix Mint 21.1 text
Then I used the modified splash screen .png as my background as well
The space between the Penguin and the text is where the moving bar shows up during boot on the splash screen

Very Cool!

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
mostly nose-to-the-grindstone XFCE
with some .desktop buttons
SSTART-SSTOP samba on-off, normally off
EV-xx VPN control
THINGS THEY ASK running list on gdocs of odd things clients and friends asked me, line "historically best way to empty a human skull"
KEEP GOING cancels shutdown cron job set to stop fiddling with the OS after work
WP-GPD etc., random HD (about 1000) or smaller backgrounds (about 4000), or re-focus
LAST BG queries the XFCE channel about last background, useful to reconnect to old friends over 10-20 y.o. pictures that resurface at random
MAXY-EXTRA mount-unmout backup partitions on a normally spun-down slow big mechanical hard disk
Logout, shutdown, reboot: red button bottom right is UTF-8 text label for action buttons menu
Konqueror launcher icon is for incognito Chromium as go-to browser
Swiss keyboard is the shit to write in all west-European languages, I only miss the Å and Ø
StartupNotify=false[/code]

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2022
At last !
This is the first time I've seen somebody else with a hundred buttons for scripts they made for special tasks. I just have mine spread down each side, and also across a dock. Mine looks a little cluttered, but it is so useful. Yours is perhaps more tidy.
