Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
i'm debating weather I'll either partition or go full LXDE, I've got no HDD space to waste (about 60 to 80 gigs or space) so I can't just partition willie-nillie
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I have the LXDE installed on my laptop but can't get a screengrab (print-scrn isn't working, for some reason) Got a few issues with it but for a first edition, it is pretty sharp.

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
Or you could opt for the familiar like I did and install Gnomeutils from Synaptic. This way I get the old familiar Gnome screenshooter. It works fine in LXDE.
Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
I use this keybinding for scrot in my rc.xml
Works like a charm, and uses viewnor to display it after it's done, of course this can be replaced with gpicview or whatever you like.
Code: Select all
<keybind key="Print">
<action name="Execute">
<execute>scrot '%Y-%m-%d--%s_$wx$h_scrot.png' -e 'mv $f ~/Images/Screenshots/ & viewnor~/Images/Screenshots/$f'</execute>
</action>
</keybind>

Re: Unofficial Post Your Linux Mint Desktop Thread
hm.. I think the XFCE 4 Screenshot tool has the same look and feel, but oh well it might not be to much of a diffrence (I just think using a XFCE tool might suite better to a Lightweight Desktop like LXDE than using a GNOME one xD)Aging Technogeek wrote:Or you could opt for the familiar like I did and install Gnomeutils from Synaptic. I, too, have been using Openbox and tint2 ... with no DE.ikey wrote:
I've decided to move away from the standard openbox style desktop.
No more tint2 . I'm using bmpanel
I really like 'your' bmpanel ... nice configuration and layout.
Did you design the scripts yourself? Cuz, the bmpanels I've seen before didn't look like that.
Great job.
