Ok had some time to try openSUSE 11.3 gnome. Not too bad. Runs very well actually. Well here is a screenshot or 2 of what I did with it, well at least with the theme, the default theme was just ugly.

That piqued my curiosity so I had to Google up some screenshots of the default appearance of openSUSE 11.3 gnome - The individual parts of it are OK but as a whole it doesn't quite work.Your version is a definite improvement

looking really nice.
How do you get the ball? Is this an SuSE only feature or am I just to stupid to find it? The only thing i see is an option which makes it Cylindrical, but not Round o0

thank you so much.. it will only visible when hovered (though it doesnt seems like a button to me but i love that kind of win deco) it is emerald theme,you can get it in ffuu theme package here http://lassekongo83.deviantart.com/art/ffuu-171639096

thanks.. just some simple modification using gimp, originally it is ubuntu's logo there..
