And why keep the window list on the panel once you've added the dock? Many of the screenshots in this thread have both and I always wonder what people find is wrong with the dock to require keeping the window list. Are the docks used mainly as launchers rather than for task switching? Does the reduction of screenspace from a dock mean people are inclined to make them autohide and therefore require a visible indicator for open applications?mintmaniac2 wrote:Very Nice Aging Technogeek. Similarly someone could ask me why I still use a panel (tint2) with gnome-shell. Sometimes it's just easier to switch tasks the "traditional" way than to activate the overlay.
You've seen the gtk/icon/metacity theme before but it has the tint2/conky panel I just mentioned and I can't post here without a screenshot.
