Great photo for a desktop wallpaper, Colyn. Excellent lighting and shadows.

Was that dew on the gravel, rain, or did you supply the moisture from your water bottle?

Thanks

We had a lot of rain yesterday so the gravel was still wet in the areas that were covered by shadows..and I suspect the morning dew also contributed.

Hi, i am giving the latest RC a run and am really liking the theme and icons used. Everything is running fine, as per usual with Mint when I use it. Looking forward to the final. Here is how my desktop is set up, pretty clean and minimal.

Cheers

Great desktops everyone!

Here is my Mint 10RC desktop, heavily under construction.

Does anyone know how to change the colors of the windows that the arrows point to?

I can answer half of the question - the background colour of the main body of the window can be changed by choosing "edit" then "Backgrounds & Emblems", on that tab you'll find an option to change it to whatever colour you like.Changes are then applied everywhere the theme appears.

In the Colours tab of the theme, click the square box at the top-left to change the main colour of the nautilus window, then to change the colour of the background that is behind the icons, just click the square box below the one you just changed.

Nice desktop btw

That won't work because the colour you are talking about is the light grey with the breadcrumbs/address bar in it. The toolbar colour is defined separately in the gtkrc file for the theme. The only way to change it is to comb through the gtkrc file to find the part that deals with toolbar colours.

No the entire background/wallpaper was set as photographed. In order to get the background through conky I had to add these 2 lines to my .conkyrc

Code: Select all

file own_window_argb_visual yes
own_window_argb_value 95

Thanks, Colyn. It would look much beter on my old desktop than how I did it. There's still loads and loads I don't know about conky and I hate reading long pages with each command/option with each argument.
