Thanks. It's probably one of the first decent pictures i've taken. Amazing what phones these days can do.

Also, loving that Mint Unity desktop japan1. A nice modern desktop shell (unity, which i personally love) with the amazing Mint menu.
How did you get the Applications and Files&Folders lenses to work?
Both lenses worked perfectly 'out of the box', I just downloaded Unity and it's dependencies from Synaptic :)

Oh wow, don't all the penguins and snow etc. become a distraction (or did you just add them for the photo opp?)

Glad you like it.

Ok I changed it a little by adding the engage dock at the top to replace the ibar on the panel.

http://www.fpmurphy.com/gnome-shell-extensions/

This guys done quite a few extensions.

Also keep a look at http://www.webupd8.org They've got an entire section for Gnome Shell and I've found some interesting extensions there, including the link to the above one's... They also provide instructions on installing them.

Here's a new wall I created (took a picture of my window with my phone and added some colouring and the ubuntu logo with some layer modding). And a screenshot of it on my desktop:

Image
sudo apt-get purge win7 && sudo apt-get install Freedom
You're currently going through a difficult transition period called "Life."

LinuxMint-9 LTS Fluxbox Edition

Upgraded the kernel to 2.6.39
Firefox-4.0
tint2 and Conky

I am usually, an Xfce fanatic, but I love Openbox, as well.
Now, trying to learn about Fluxbox.
Surprisingly, Fluxbox is extremely well documented and has some great Wiki/Wiki pages.
Just as easy to customize as Openbox is. Light and super-fast.

I, for one, would love to see a Fluxbox and/or Openbox editions of LMDE. :D
