tint2 panel is a lot lighter and much more minimalist than most any other taskbar out. For me, it's purely for looks and minimalist functionality ... I don't 'need' lightweight.
I need lightweight like a palsy kid needs medical herb. I'll try tint2 out, light and minimal are right up my alley and version 0.9-2 is in the repositories. Screencaps soon!

Some amazingly beautiful desktops in this thread. Mine's pretty standard KDE4.5 widgets and Opacity on the open programs. The desktop background image is standard too, but I like it. As it's an LTS, it'll pretty much be this way for a couple of years at least.

Hmm. Halving the image size in the Gimp messed it up a bit. :|

Thank you Exploder, I like this desktop look allot, I know its brownish but liked the wallpaper and conky as soon as I saw them. I kept imagining in my head how they would look then I had to put it together to see how it would look on a live desktop. Thanks again for the kind words friend. :)

Here's mine, like me it is not flashy or busy. It's got the information and links that I want, easy to see and without other stuff to distract or get in the way.

Thank you mmesantos1 :D

I wanted to have a go at creating icons with Any Colour You Like in what we in UK call Petrol Blue(a deep greenish blue) - all I needed was a wallpaper to match.....as usual DeviantArt provided 8)
