I think that would work if I was using the same theme for the menu as i am for the rest of the desktop but I'm using the Mint-X-Metal theme on the menu so I get the sweet brushed metal background...

It makes sense Carl, I ran a test and changed my theme for my menu and the GTK color for the GTK theme is still used so it should work for you.

Im sticking with the white/light desktop look for now, found two wallpapers that suited the overall theme well, but then i found a good wallpaper of a maserati and i couldn't resist

The wallpaper of the maserati really looks clear and stands out well. If only i had a HD monitor

Sorry if i've not been posting for a while. I just happen to like my current desktop and have settled on most of it, apart from the GTK theme. By the way, it's nicwe to see a few more AWN users, as people keep usaing Docky. I used to use it, but awn sort of called back to me after i last used it a few years ago. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a 'blue' GTK theme?
