All Desktop Screenshots - June 2013

Post by vrkalak »

REMINDER: from the Forum Staff:

Please continue to use clickable-thumbnails linking to the larger image -- to help those with slower connections.

Many image-hosting sites will automatically generate 'clickable-thumbnails' for you, as well.

An example of the BBC code needed is below.

Code: Select all

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The forum now has an option to resize images to 320x240 pixels using "rimg" tags.
This gives a large enough image to display clearly but doesn't cause a problem for those with slow connections
You can insert a pair of such tags with the "rimg" button, which sits rightmost on the row of buttons above the text field where you type your message.

Upload your image to an image hosting site then paste the URL of the "Direct" or "Download Image" link between the rimg tags.

Code: Select all

[rimg]http://link.to.your.image[/rimg]
This posts on the forum a 320x240 pixel clickable image which links to your original-sized image.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Thank you - for your continued support of LinuxMint.

Just a Wallpaper change on My Mint 14 KDE 4.10.3 Desktop.
Trying out some of the images I captured from recent Trillium Lake/Mt. Hood 4-day trip.

Keep forgetting to take pano side by side shots for Dual Display setups.
So just flipped same image. And more work setting up seamless span across two monitors.

So serene... I will be there in Sept. for my son's wedding - can't wait. Are there any colors there or is it all Ansel Adamsesque?

here's my boring desktop for now.
Still got a lot of work to make it what I want it to be, like remake the conky and create a whole new one, make a new cinnamon theme and wallpaper and gtk/metacity theme.
In other words redo the whole thing eventually, but this is it for now.

And got around making a 2 half Spanned version tho have to cut a lot out to maintain Aspect Ratio.

My Burg bootloader running on Mint 14 Nadia.

Follow these instructions to install Burg on Mint 14 or 15:

http://www.unixmen.com/how-to-install-burg-in-ubuntu/

Burg themes are easier to customize than grub2 and has the
advantages of using icons. My custom icons are resized
48x48 pixels using Gimp. I also add the text to the icon
and save as a png image.

Command burg-emu allows you to view your Burg theme
and take a screenshot.

Jeesh. I'm not sure if I would be able to decide what to log into.

Thanks for sharing - Burg looks sweet.
