Some beautiful desktops. Look at KDE Plasma 5 now! Wowzers! I'll definitely be installing that to my spare partition.

Re: All Desktop Screenshots > 1st Half of 2015
Here's my current desktop. The background was a Google Image find; it is a very well framed and processed twilight shot of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana Castle is at upper left.
I can tell that HDR was used to bring out subtle details in darker areas without oversaturating brighter spots, but tone mapping was thankfully kept to a minimum. The original's picture aspect compared to my standard 1080p screen was a happy accident; just enough of the sky shows so that my icons and weather desklet don't interfere with any of the city details.
(EDIT: Almost forgot the rest of the desktop info. Mint 17.1 Cinnamon, with standard Linux Mint theme. I'm thinking of switching to the BlackIce theme, though.)

Are you sure?exploder wrote:LXDE 2 Cinnamon

It's a keeper if I can figure out one graphics bug that shows up once in a while. My menus in some applications turn completely transparent and I have to restart to get them back... Other than that it's great!

I have no doubt about any of that
I was attempting, however, to point out an apparent typo... LXDE 2 Cinnamon.. Either that's a new double desktop installation or you meant LMDE 2 Cinnamon as the screenshot indicates
Next time I'll simply shout TYPO

You're welcome
Now all that's left is for me to apologise for preserving your typo for posterity, despite your edit..

I really like this new LMDE 2, it has a lot under the hood making it a very solid distro release. Openbox is my ideal window manager and fluxbox as well, just easy to catalog your apps in a way you find them easily. The cool thing with LMDE 2 is that I was able to keep all the excellent LM apps and added those to my already existing obmenu. I am super pleased with this release, folks at LMDE worked hard on this one. Thanks to all the hard work folks - nuffsaid
