OR

(this one is more quick to release updates.)
It's a gtk theme I built. Dark and white versions available.

Thanks I found it here!

Mint 17.3 MATE
Theme: Numix Solarized (dark)
Icon set: Numix-Circle
Install how-to:
-Theme: unzipped https://github.com/corebob/numix-solari ... e/v0.2.zip into /usr/share/themes
-Icon set: the Numix-Circle from https://github.com/numixproject/numix-icon-theme-circle
use apt-get (Linux Mint):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme-circle
OR just put the icons folders like so:
/usr/share/icons/Numix-Circle
[apt-get also installs /usr/share/icons/Numix-Circle-Light - only used
the first one - ie. the Numix-Circle).
-As ****sudo**** ie with elevated privilages launch Mint's
Control Centre > Appearance (the new solarized dark theme and the icons are visible there - so set the new theme/icons - ie to get system-wide theme).
-Would probably also work with putting the theme folder in ~/.themes and the icons folder in ~/.icons - but I haven't tried this second way.
-At this point Linux Mint's menu background was still ugly and unusable grey. To fix this:
Right click Start > Preferences > Theme . Here, UNCHECK 'Use custom colors' and make sure the theme selected is our Numix Solarized.
-Enjoy!
