Different computers. Mint works with the Wifi on one, Ubuntu works with the Wifi on the other. It was the simplest way to have everything working since I live at work these days.Hannnnggg onnn... I notice a distro switch! Care to share the reason? Or just different computers?

This is on my ancient laptop. It has MInt 18.2 XFCE installed, but I decided to try out LXQt with Compton.

Screenfetch lists the Openbox theme incorrectly, it's actually Breeze as shown in the left window. The LXQt panel theme is Chameleon, the Qt Widget style is Breeze, and the background is the KDE Plasma background from the built-in KDE Plasma theme. I'm starting to like LXQt as it's really good-looking and lightweight.

It is simply the "docky" panel (available in synaptic) with the "transparent" theme selected.Apollonius wrote:I see many of you using this type of setup in the desktop- there are panel icons at the bottom of the screen and just in the middle and without any panel bar, like Elementary OS... how do you do it?

I like to keep it as lean and bare bones as possible. It makes the computer a joy to use.

Rather than letting the OS theme take over, I use a custom dark theme for Firefox.
