You can literally make Cinnamon look like anything you want.
Here is a few Cinnamon desktops I created a while back . . . . just for fun

Nice to have separate virtual workspaces for remotely managing the file server .

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2020
Evolution of the species, I've been tweaking the older Cinnamon WM Numix Semi-transparent 1.25 theme file to make it use Ubuntu font. I prefer this build over the newer versions released since, it's got a cleaner look to it. Apparently the maintainer is going to attempt to add toggle options for the new effects I'm not keen on so I'm tracking the release notes as suggested.
The Files icon on the panel is actually the places-center applet which I find much more useful than just being a Home directory shortcut like the default icon there. I got rid of the show desktop applet because I never use it. Meta+D is always available instead if I need to do that action.

I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2020
This is awfully cluttered because the monitor is still a 55 inch LED screen. So there are 4 panels for quick access to a heap of BASH scripts to start various processes.

Use a free hosting site, I always use imgbb.com, they are supported by advertising and will take image files up to 32MB in size. That's what the above are stored on and it even generates the bb code needed for the posts for you.

I've used some of those sites, but I post images so rarely it is a pain remembering the logins for them.Use a free hosting site, I always use imgbb.com
Now I just live with the LoRes thing because it is easier for an old bloke D)

I don't have an imgbb account, you can post images without logging in. That cube/sphere thing looks weird

I'd call that an ellipsoid. Might be mistaken though .. looks great regardless.
It reminds me of the demo program which came with one of my better graphics cards although that was a regular sphere which you could rotate at will, with an effect reminiscent of the old BBC-1 animation where the globe was rotating, refracting(?) the strip view of the world map as it rotated.

Thanks. Yes, it's a squashed sphere rather than a spherical sphere. And it is fun spinning it by holding down the middle mouse button and dragging in various directions to swap workspaces. Sadly, 3D windows makes it look pretty awful. It reminds me of the demo program which came with one of my better graphics cards although that was a regular sphere which you could rotate at will,

Re: Show your Mint desktop!
back in the day 1996 when i upload a .wav file to AOL i knew enough that i wouldn't want to use 44000hz CD Quality if i wanted to use the internet for the rest of the week. so i learned enough to understand that i need to make it smaller.
a normal picture taken on an iPhone is about 4-8MB if you don't know enough to adjust your quality to preserve memories as well as weeding out bad or unfocused shots
i also learned that many sites like manjaro, arch.ubuntu do not allow large files uploaded directly to a Q/A forum but links from a server storage, so why would mint forums be different?

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2020
I think perhaps you misunderstood when I said "sadly 3D windows makes it look pretty awful".
I was not referring to the quality of the small size / resolution uploaded file. I was referring to what enabling the '3D Windows' setting in Compiz settings manager does to the eliptical sphere (is there such a description?) once that is applied.
The 3D windows work ok on a cube, But the effect goes all out of whack when applied to curves other than a drum.
Trying to float windows above a sphere looks awful

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2020
I am running Cinnamon in a VM before I actually do a fresh install on bare metal.
Here is what my wife, Fluffy's desktop will look like per her input i.e. her choice of wall paper and she likes icons on the desktop rather than use the menu for most things.
I will go with the 3 monitor background via Nitrogen
I really like the Numix-Cinnamon-Transparent theme that make the panel inviable.
