I was going to post a screenshot, but it won't accept a 3840x1080 background capture... hmmm
GIMP -> Picture -> Scale picture -> export as .jpg so you get it under 100 kb
If I made a 3840x1080 down to 100kb, you wouldn't be able to make anything out.
You might be able to if you scale the resolution (maybe to 2560 x 720), change the quality to 50, and set the subsampling to 4:2:0 (chroma quartered).

.
This is a pic that I reduced from a 3840 x 1080:

i would edit out your public ip before posting snaps, not that anyone would try to hack you but you never know. also i would remove harddisk I/O from your conky, that eats up a lot of resources and keeps your disk busy. cool desktop but now all i see in todays modern linux are big icons small fonts

Here's mine, I'm a newbie on Cinnamon 19.3 edition. Installed on an old Gateway ZX4800 all-in-one (refugee from Windows 7). Here's an updated look at the very bottom after I've learned the script from user Smurphos....Thanks again Smurphos, you rock!

Sure -

Background is a plain black background (wallpaper set to none in backgrounds)
The logo is provided by the Cinnamon Extension Watermark - https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/e ... ns/view/46
There are two panels - top and left. They are made transparent with the Cinnamon Extension Transparent panels - https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/e ... ns/view/42
The left panel is set to intelligently autohide and hosts only the Grouped Window List applet. I've pretty much set this panel as wide as can be be with the largest icon size to give a 'dock-like' effect
The stats on the right are a conky with my personal config
Otherwise I use the Cinnamon-Rhino theme throughout, Roboto fonts, E-papirus icon-set.
I do actually like a nice wallpaper so I use my script from here - https://github.com/smurphos/nemo_action ... -slideshow to switch to a background slideshow when the screensaver / lockscreen is up

Almost finished getting my KDE/Plasma fix happening without installing KDE/Plasma.
Mint 19.3 XFCE with now updated VLC, Kcalc and Partitionmanager also themed (obviously QT apps from KDE/Plasma apps still in repo).

I ran an experiment with the Cinnamon Desktop. I used twin panels (top and bottom) with the "Transparent panels" extension to recreate a dock and topbar layout without using a separate dock app.

I'm pleased with the results. It's the best performing layout of this sort I've used.
