Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2021
Essentially Cinnamon 4.8.6 and the new toys from Mint 20.1 are LMDE4.2 since it's the second major upgrade LMDE4 has received in it's lifespan. Still keeping it minimal. The RAM usage is good considering I have boinc running and chromium open.
I’ll tell you a DNS joke but be advised, it could take up to 24 hours for everyone to get it.

Re: All Desktop Screenshots of 2021
Dark for a change but the pretty much done to death by every other distribution Adapta-Notko-Eta with Papirus Dark. Not sure I'll keep it long though.
Fonts as suggested on the github page for Adapta theme are Roboto Regular and Noto Sans families. For monospace I find the Noto Sans Mono Medium easier to see than Regular which looked too faint on the semi-transparent terminal background.
EDIT - I didn't keep it more than an hour, the dark themes aren't comfortable for me to view but I thought I'd give it another go with this one after tweaking the font settings to see if that helped. It did not.
I've had to further tweak the CSS file for my now essentially forked version of the Numix semi-transparent theme for Cinnamon 4.8.6, the scaling of text was off in the version I'd kept back instead of the newer theme in the Add/Remove list. I'd already changed the font in the last hack of it to Ubuntu Regular to Match Mint's Font Settings but there's a difference in the way Cinnamon 4.8 interprets the font px in the theme CSS file to Cinnamon 4.6 which meant I had to make it 13px instead of 12px throughout for each font entry using xed's replace all function.
