Windows and Mint rolled into one!
So I have a work pc that has to be windows and my own personal linux pc (Mint) that I use as my daily driver outside work, and I can only fit one monitor on my desk. Luckily this monitor supports two displayport sources and can display them both side by side! So naturally I gave them both half a background each to make it seamless. I'm also using a switcher (the green glowing button under the left side of the monitor) so it's a push of a button to switch all peripherals (mouse, keyboard, headset etc) between each pc.

what switcher is that? ... thinking on that setup maybe Barrier would be easier to use, just move the mouse to the display you want?

Re: Windows and Mint rolled into one!
That looks great but I'm also thinking that monitor could star in it's own big screen movie, aka Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde!
Now which half is which
Now which half is which

Hi @MattyWS--beyond cool kudos on the implementation.
If you can only have one monitor that one is the cat's meow.
Regarding @Rooo suggestion for using a network mouse/keyboard switching utility--I was unaware
of
It was somewhat tedious to get setup properly but afterwards worked very well,
and indeed carried the clipboard contents from system to system which is very handy. Thanks for the suggestion.

barrier
being forked from the original synergy
package. I used synergy to span 3 systems using 3 monitors. It was somewhat tedious to get setup properly but afterwards worked very well,

Re: Windows and Mint rolled into one!
That's very cool!
Re: Windows and Mint rolled into one!
As people have mentioned I do use Barrier now as well, though I still use the switcher (just a £30 one from amazon) to switch everything else when needed.
Re: Windows and Mint rolled into one!
Awesome setup, I am taking notes.......
Restrictive EULAs launched the search for the perfect alternative. So, yeah, thanks for that..........
