@Dark Owl

Try Albert launcher. It can search for apps, files, websites with google etc. (of course if you allow it in the options). It also can run commands in terminal if you type '>' symbol before the command. There are lots of themes available by default.

Website: https://albertlauncher.github.io/
Download .deb: https://software.opensuse.org/download. ... age=albert

This is how it looks on my dekstop. I open it up with Ctrl+Space shortcut.

Interesting! Thanks...

...but I'm not sure the benefit over search in the system menu is sufficient. Will bear in mind.

I must say that I really appreciate your taste. And this aspect ratio is killing me. I've never seen such a widescreen display in real life. :D

I've found a 'New - Old' favourite file manager for Mint Xfce. I'm still messing with some of its limitations in theming, and I haven't got the right click image tools (resize etc) that I have in Thunar. But it is getting there, and is almost similar to the Mint Menu theme . .

I know this thread should probably be for Mint screenshots, but a few of us post Manjaro and other Desktops.
I thought I might be sneaky and show my Raspberry Pi 4B Desktop with its 'Dark Theme' with 3D elephants so far.
I'm trying to theme the Pi more or less the way I have my Mint Xfce themed. There are a few odd bits I haven't sorted yet, but I have most of the QT stuff working (except transparency) - and I know that can be done.

Anyway, it is running in a VNC window on Mint 20.2 Xfce - so It's sort of not stretching the topic too far :-)
The task bar at the bottom of the Pi is Cairo-Dock. It is all running at a really good speed, considering how much I had it loaded up. Almost no lag of any kind.

So trying out Elementary OS, they sure do not make it easy to theme this OS, but that did not stop me, lol :D

My ex wide asked me to put Linux on a new notebook ( a Lenovo thast came with Windows) because she'd got used to Mint on my computers. After trying all versions of Mint, and several other isos of various distros, I discovered it would not accept any Linux Distro except ElementaryOS. Luckily I'd been using it when I was trying out new ideas.

There are a few things I don;t like about it, but once you get under the hood and play around with Plymouth - it can be a lot of fun to modify.

Yea its a basic conky but wanted to keep it clean. Yea I agree eOS is not bad once you figure out how to make the changes you want when applying a theme. It has been running well and is very simple and initiative to use. Just wish they would not try to lock it down so much but I get why they do it. Well anyways off to try another Ditrso and see if I can theme it up! :D

@MattJ86 haha I guess some habits die hard! I am sure I will get more adventurous with time (although from a purely aesthetics point of view I think this icon pack is quite good looking).

I know these are not screen shots, and I'll delete them if it's inappropriate.
However, it's a Mint Menu icon mod just to make the Desktop a little different, so it might be appropriate.

I can't remember whether I posted these before, but here are a couple of modified Icons to dress up the Mint Menu button. They're a little rough around the edges, because I was experimenting, and never took it any further - but as a button, they look ok.
