I made a new Mint-Yz Icon set in AMD Blue. If anyone wants them they are here but they are not properly packaged with preview images or a readme, just Mint-Yz-Base and Mint-Yz-Dark versions compressed from the generated folder contents.

Rolled back to Cinnamon 5.2.7, because of the visual disturbances of the latest version. So I'm playing around with legacy themes and window borders, because why not...

Mint-X Aqua is a marginally better fit for Cinnamon than greybird. There's not a lot in it really, one's slightly taller than the other (Mint-X) and the other renders buttons wider (Greybird)

The not so flat window controls and theme are a nice break from the normal flat world

I can do without the 'bling', but I like that I 'can have it' because Mint lets me have it.
With every new release I suspect I'm likely to lose the ability to have my video wallpaper, but to be honest, I don;t have a video of whales cruising up my screen (or some other video or movie) playing behind my workspace all the time. I just do it sometimes to remind myself that Mint CAN still do it.
I like that I can do a single click on an icon and it starts - and a single click on an icon and it stops.
Also that I can click another icon and open a choose menu to pick any video on any medium connected to the computer.
It is all done using one of a couple a simple bash scripts to run an old program called xwinwrap, which starts a pre-determined video. Or another that opens a Zenity dialog to chose from any video (or .gif). There's one script that kills xwinwrap (the RED 'X' icons around the panels and Cairo-Dock).

Part of the fun was writing the scripts that do this. A lot of the fun was just working out how.

Plus I like just 'playing with' Theming like the Title Bars, Folder icons and also the transparent Apps stuff, like the file managers.
being retired opens up a whole different view of computers, different from having to 'work' with them over the years.

Mint-Yz tri-colour scheme with Google Chromecast backgrounds on 15 minute slideshow random rotation.
Added Applets: Weather, Cinnamenu (all others are stock, just re-arranged)

EDIT - Meh, I changed it again and went with Mint-Yz-Dark-Orange for the shell and controls with Mint-Yz Dark-Grey icon colour

I know lol! I do the same thing. However I still have to use my aging laptop for work so I mess around on the weekends mostly and then put everything back for work on Monday. Retirement is just around the corner for me so looking forward to that! Interesting about the video wallpaper scripts. Stuff like that can get addictive (like Conky, oh the countless wasted hours).
