Here is mine at the moment. Still have to find a good theme likewise a good icon set. I simply love Black and Green together.

Ps: as you may imagine the icons on the dock are rotating "cubes".

New to LMDE, spent a while getting everything working and now i`m loving it.

I have some way to go before my desktop looks as professional as some of the quality desktops already posted, but here goes.

Does anyone have a conky script that would compliment my current set up.
Any criticism on my set up would be most welcome. :)

wow, love that wallpaper, can you share it please? :)
May I ask you if you are using a theme for the panels? I like it transparent, but still didn't find one that is transparent "everywhere".

As regards conky the only think I can recommend is to search in google or at gnome-look.org. In this cases I generally like to search for a .conkyrc that I think fits good with my wallpaper. Afterwards the only thing I do is to adjust it, removing things I don't need, adding some I would like to have etc. If you never used conky, well, believe me you'll start soon: it's not hard at all.
In fact you may search one, but it won't be perfect because your computer is clearly not like the one of the person that posted the .conkyrc file. Just to give an example, why should you use six bars to show CPU usage if you have a quad core?

After some time you'll learn how the code works, at this point you may try to create one by yourself. Or simply make better one that already exists. It requires just a little bit of practice. Try removing some lines and check what changes.
Good luck dude :)

Thanks for the comments. :)

I got the wallpaper from here...http://nelchael81.deviantart.com/art/De ... e-65226512
There are some very nice Debian wallpapers on the site http://browse.deviantart.com/customizat ... 9&offset=0

Regards to the panel i am just using the clearlooks theme, and i have the background in the panel properties set to solid colour and almost transparent.

Thanks for the advice on Conky, yes i have used it before, i do like to try and keep my desktop uncluttered, i have tried quite a few different conky scripts but there are none that seem to look quite right to me.

@Hawkwind
Here is Mint's Conky Showoff Thread, viewtopic.php?f=60&t=30209&hilit=+conky
And Ubuntu's Conky thread Conky setup in Ubuntu http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=6365702

You may see something interesting in one of the two.

thanks... the theme is called Dasha, the icons are ACYL. Both from gnome-look.org. The window borders are Carbonit-Colored from xfce-look.org.

Not much really changes on my desktop, except the wallpaper . . . so I have uploaded 2 screenshots for your viewing pleasure.

A basic LMDE-Xfce set to Wheezy (testing) with an upgraded 2.6.38 Linux Kernel and the Xfce-4.8 Desktop Environment added.

Hi all, I usually prefer dark themes and mostly black, but this time i used "army" green and i am pretty happy with that look. That picture was shot few years ago near my home.I have a lot of self shot pictures witch are pretty "spooky" and beautyful,so it was difficult to choose best picture for this "tune up".Maybe i come up with a another picture in future??
