I was rather surprised to see that the "Open as administrator" option in Caja will open up a privileged Nautilus instance.
It doesn't bother me that much... but is it not supposed to open up another instance of Caja? Is this the default behavior everyone is seeing or is my system acting up somehow?

Check the MATE Preferred Applications app and make sure Caja is set as the default file browser.
