Cinnamon 1.8 in LMDE?

Postby staubi » Mon May 06, 2013 8:15 am

Hi, is it possible to install Cinnamon 1.8 on LMDE? When I try to install from the PPA, I get:

Code: Select all

http://ppa.launchpad.net/gwendal-lebihan-dev/cinnamon-stable/ubuntu/dists/debian/main/binary-amd64/Packages  404  Not Found

Greetings, staubi

PPAs don't have a "debian" section. Consider that a feature to protect you from breaking your Debian system with Ubuntu packages in case you decide to ignore the people's warnings and change the line in your sources.list manually :D

Now a serious answer: http://segfault.linuxmint.com/2013/05/c ... comment-48

Thanks! I thought that a PPA wouldn't be the cleanest option, but I was curious

Anyway, seems like I rather wait a while....
