Over 90 procent of my 1100+ game library works fine on Mint if I use Proton. And there are a surprisingly large amount of them with native support. The last one on Steam that I played with native support was Dirt4. Feral Interactive brought a lot of big games over. I am now sticking with GOG more. Kind of annoying to have to install it from the terminal with the 'sh' command but otherwise fine. The last native game from there is Pathfinder: Kingmaker.

I am feeling a bit retro recently so probably going to play Jazz Jackrabbit in a few hours :D

I am playing GTA Online but it is getting more unplayable day by day because of lots of cheating modders :( I have bought Valheim recently and will try to work things out... I am also a fan of arcade racing games (such as old NFSs, Dirts, Gas Guzzler Extreme etc) and maybe try Forza Horizon 4 if it gets Proton support... But I hear it's not flawless on Windows either, even with Microsoft Store

The latest game I've been playing is: SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell. It has the look and feel of something like Quake or Doom, but the gameplay is kind of similar to that game I spoke about previously in this thread "Guts and Glory" where there are obstacles that need to be passed in a time limit. I've got through it okay so far, but it can be tricky. I hope I can complete the game on the later levels!

I like the metal music aesthetic.

Works fine with Lutris, as do most of Blizzard's games.
Gaming exclusively on Linux since 2017. Windows can suck it!

I finished playing that not long ago on the PS4! Very enjoyable, as it was the first time I had played the Bioshock series!

I don't have time to game seriously these days, but when I need to get away from it all for a little while, I usually fire up https://store.steampowered.com/app/3131 ... nded_Deep/ or https://store.steampowered.com/app/5127 ... _Thoughts/. Stranded Deep is almost like a tropical survival vacation once you get used to it, and Quern is an excellent Myst knockoff, of which there are almost none for native Linux. I like a relaxed, casual, "Calgon, Take Me Away" kind of experience from a game, as a rule. If I thought I stood a reasonable chance of coaxing Fallout 4 (and a few mods) into playing nice with Linux, I could spend hours poking though the post-apocalyptic ruins of downtown Boston again.

Cities: Skylines is my go to. Whenever I get tired of shooting at or destroying things, I can always relax and build something instead.

As of late, I have been playing Cyberpunk 2077. Bugs and all  . I am not a big RPG player so getting the hang of looting, disassembling and crafting has been interesting. I do still like the game though, I wish I had a few grand to build a computer to get the true visual experience. Alas, a fixed income has me playing on an ageing XBone  .

I play these games on Windows (I use Windows as my gaming system) through steam permanently offline/offline-mode, but most should be playable on Linux Mint:

CS:GO, Dota 2, Left4Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Borderlands 2, Torchlight 2, Torchlight 1, Skyrim, Red Eclipse 2, Terraria, Stardew Valley, and Just Cause 2.

To play CS:GO offline forever with bots you enable the Developer Console and in the main menu hit ~ to open the console and type:
sv_lan 1
then you can play games with bots offline forever.

To play Team Fortress 2 in offline-mode forever with bots you enable the Developer Console through Keyboard->advanced section of the options and the type ~ and type into console:
sv_lan 1
sv_cheats 1
now you can play with bots in an offline/training game!

Good luck have fun!

I’m a bit of a narrowboat enthusiast (ok, fanatic) who spends hours watching videos of people travelling the canals of England. It’s just something I enjoy.
I had longed for a simulation I could play on my Linux Mint system that would allow me to simulate that activity.
The simulation is called “NarrowboatSim”.
Give it a try.
No, I don’t get any reward for this I just thought others might like to try it.
I find it relaxing and simple. FPS raise my levels too much.

I returned to my 2007 classics, playing Half-Life 2 Deathmatch and Day of Defeat: Source again, if you're up for a game - hit me up :)
