Quadrapassel 3.6.0.2 same blocks over and over

Something has happened to Quadrapassel version 3.6.0.2. I noticed this on a several computers with varying graphics capabilities.
First, the initial appearance shows too many columns if you switch to full screen. Then, in the middle of a game, the same blocks keep coming up over and over. Especially the S shaped blocks. And when this happens, the block color is locked in also.
This is not a major factor, but Quadrapassel (Gnometris) is almost as sacred as solitaire is to Windows.
