I have recently found this problem after upgrading to Mint 17.2. It looks like that Super Tux Kart 0.9 have been crashing rather randomly when I click onto various selecting buttons. This can be reproduced with almost 100% certainty when I tried to change the program's screen resolution - it would show a black triangle and the program simply disappears without any mentioning of a log file.
This problem does not happen in Super Tux Kart 0.8.1.
My system info is shown in the picture - I'm using NVIDIA's driver version 352.
Anyone knows if this could be reproduced on other LM 17.2 machines, and how could this be fixed?

Re: Super Tux Kart 0.9 crashing on Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon?
0.9 hasn't made it into the Software Centre yet so I wouldn't expect an uber stable release at the moment. I've run 0.9 on Ubuntu just fine with an open source driver without any major problems (I use an AMD card). I did have a few problems on Mint because the open source driver was outdated and even when I ran the game on minimum settings there were still major display issues.
0.9 has a lot of nice bells and whistles, but the program is a lot more resource-hungry as a result. I'll stick with 0.8.1 until I get round to upgrading my machine (still on 32-bit with 2GB RAM).
