Of late it's Factorio https://www.factorio.com/
Still a massive fan of HL2 which is available natively and yes, Minecraft is fun, especially using the Python API to programmatically build outrageously megalithic structures.

Right now its Terraria. I have been playing it with my wife-n-kids for a long time. Creating new worlds, killing bosses, crafting weapons and building houses. Amazing sandbox game.
Other native games I've really come to like:
- Don't Starve Together
- Torchlight II (Synergy mod)
- Shadow of Mordor
- Tomb Raider 2013

Sure is. I've heard its using a wrapper, but I don't know how to be sure. Either way it runs pretty good, so I'm happy I can play it in Linux

Sauerbraten, free and when playing it online it was strengthening my eyes. Fun to play team teams in light and cheerful environments rather than in dark and awful as say battlefield.. Also fun to play a total free game in your software depository

I don't know exactly which games are native to Linux, or just plain cross-platform. But here's my recent list:

I think "native" in this context means the game runs on Linux without Wine or a virtual machine.sphyrth wrote:I don't know exactly which games are native to Linux, or just plain cross-platform.
I don't think there are many games that started on Linux and got ported over to Windows and Mac and the notion of a Linux exclusive goes against the principles of free software.
