ok im still kind of a newbie to linux and its software. i play minecraft a lot and for some reason no matter what settings i have it on i never get anywhere above 30-35 fps. When i check the cpu usage of the program, it caps out at about 15 percent. is this a normal amount of cpu usage? if not, how do i make minecraft use more cpu so i can get higer fps?
Thanks in Advance!!!
Minecraft only 30-35 fps not using entire cpu?

Re: Minecraft only 30-35 fps not using entire cpu?
Computer specs?
Are you playing vanilla or modded? Shaders? Texture packs?
Lastly, are you using Optifine? Minecraft, by design, utilizes only one thread of CPU (this is why it's so easy to record & stream).
It also is environment dependent. Last night on a vanilla server (where I usually get 120+ FPS) I went to visit someone's guardian farm...and dropped to 20 FPS. So there are a lot of factors to FPS
