One game available through Appimage

Post by objectchord » Sun Jun 04, 2017 11:38 am

https://www.linux-appimages.org/browse/ ... rd/latest/
I found this game at the website.
The article I had read said that a windows game on wine can be packaged with wine and the dependencies as an executable file that will work with all Linux distributions.
The above game shows proof of concept and Linus himself is enthusiastic about Appimage.

Are you sure this is a Windows game? KAtomic is part of the KDE games package, and it would make sense to create an AppImage from the Linux version.

An example of an AppImage of a Windows application + Wine is Wild Media Server. You can download it at http://www.wildmediaserver.com/download.php.

Perhaps I should clarify....
I was making 2 different points.
one; that the Appimage contains all the Dependant applications for the program to work will work on all Linux distributions, and 2; that windows apps that work in wine and include wine and any modifications in the image will work on any distribution.
The link to the only Appimage game that I know of was not meant to imply that it was a Windows game.
