Sound problems in Wolfenstein the New Order

Post by OldSchool40 »

I recently used this tutorial to install Wolfenstien on Linux Mint 18.3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9Gs_3ErgL4
When I go into the settings it says on the audio 'pulse audio 2.0'. In the game the audio of the characters is totally out of sync with the gameplay-is there a fix for this? The same problem happened on Windows 7, so it's clearly a game issue. My computer is a dell 330 with 2.6 quad core, 8gb of ddr2 ram and a 2gb geforce 710 card with a diamond xtreme sound 5.1 card.

Try Lutris instead.

Copy/Paste commands under "For Ubuntu" in Terminal to install Lutris:

If the sync problem happens in Windows, then Wine will just inherit the same problem.
Have you found any solutions for Windows?

No, I never found any solutions for windows. At least I'm not getting any kernel crashes with the nvidia card like I was with the Win 7 installation.

Just noticed you have Geforce GT 710 card which is not powerful enough. Consider upgrading graphic card to GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or higher.
