Fullscreen freeze.

Post by PrestigePork »

When i play a game in full-screen mode then exit it my screen just goes black. I've waited 10 minutes once then pressed alt+tab and it just turned yellow. The only way i can fix it is by restarting my computer.

Anyone got any fixes?

It looks like the kernel you are using and the n3060 CPU were released within a week of each other. I would be surprised if that kernel supports the CPU very well.

First thing to try, go into the driver manager and install the Intel microcode. The microcode is newer firmware that should help support the CPU better.

Second thing to try, install the newest kernel available in your update manager. In your update manager, go to 'View' then select 'Linux kernels'. My Mint 18.2 VM gives the option of up to kernel 4.11. Just select the newest kernel for installation.
