Sports game suggestions?

Post by borg101 » Fri Sep 07, 2018 9:57 am

I'm curious if there are any decent 3d (or very good 2d) sports games out there for Linux. I'd prefer foss titles, but I'd be willing to pay for something if available. I didn't find much on steam and most of the stuff I found searching the software manager and googling were just team managing software. I'm not picky about the sport either. Football/Soccer, basketball, baseball, american football, hockey, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The Linux Games Database (you can filter on open/closed source) shows a few: https://lgdb.org/games?sort_by=created& ... 22_tid=All.

Steam has a longer list: https://store.steampowered.com/search/? ... 8&os=linux

For both the "sports" genre tag seems to be used rather arbitrarily. Many on the lists are not the kind of sports you mean. Many racing games or sports team management games. But have a look and browse it a bit?

Out of the Park Baseball, Football Manager. By the way, I prefer sports betting. This platform - https://777score.ng , is one of the best services for online bets. They also have a nice application so you are able to post from anny part of the world and at any time. There are so many different kinds of sports that you can bet without the limit!
