As I said, I never tried that one, I didn't even click the link to find out what it is. :D But the official repos have the vulkan-utils package with vulkaninfo and vulkan-smoketest and those work on any kernel, or at least they work on my current non-4.15 kernel, can't say I use these with any regularity. ;)
