Copy and Paste don't work on the Minecraft console

Post by elberino » Sat May 25, 2019 8:07 am

Hi everyone, I'm using Linux a few months and recently migrate of Ubuntu 18 to Linux Mint 19

My problem is related copy and paste codes on Minecraft, don't work in my notebook the commands CTRL+C and CTRL+V on the command block console, therefore copy codes finded in the internet don't run on the Minecraft console because paste it don't work, whatever... this situation only happen on Mint 19, when I used Ubuntu worked copy and paste codes.

Anyone know how to solve this issue? It's a system restriction?

Thanks guys for the attention :)

PS: I play Minecraft with my young brother and him suffer more than I with this issue

Hello, elberino.

Provided the term "command block console" simply means the terminal window (as in Gnome Terminal, Mate Terminal, xfce4 Terminal), the solution is simple:
+ the keyboard shortcut to copy into the clipbboard is <ctrl><shift>c
+ the keyboard shortcut to paste the clipbboard content is <ctrl><shift>v

HTH,
Karl
