Steam won't start

Hey guys my steam install , but do not open.

That's what happens everytime in the terminal when I try to open the steam


tar: this is not a archive -tar
xz: (stdin): Formato de arquivo não reconhecido
tar: Child returned status 1
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
find: ‘/home/ownaka/.steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime’: Arquivo ou diretório inexistente

You can try the following

rm $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libgcc_s.so.1

rm $HOME/.local/share/Steam/ubuntu12_32/steam-runtime/i386/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6
reboot and start steam it should update and hopefully fix itself

Tried this - no effect. The steam window (updating steam) pops up, then nothing. Process list doesn't show steam either.
