Hello
I'm new to this so please excuse me if I muck up. my grandson wants to play games from Steam on Linux Mint but we're not quite sure how to start we bought the steam page up, but there seems to be a few pages and we're not sure which steam page to use and how to download the games onto Linux Mint. So if anybody can help we would really appreciate it.Thankyou 🤗🤗

you didn't specify as to which version of LinuxMint that you are using :!:

do have a Read of this Tutorial:
https://www.pcsteps.com/2628-install-st ... untu-play/
which is for getting Steam Installed & working on LinuxMint 18 x.

That's a mighty complicated tutorial when you can just do:

Code: Select all

apt install steam
(or use the graphical Software Manager to install it)

Then just start it from the menu, register (if your grandson does not have an account yet) and log in. If you want to play Windows games, make sure to enable these settings in Steam:

Does not work with all Windows games out of the box, some need some tweaks (see https://www.protondb.com/ for reports from other players) and a few won't work at all.
