Can WINE / PlayOnLinux reach the internet?

Can WINE / PlayOnLinux reach the internet?

I've tried to install DooM Eternal and I've managed to make it install and start after a messy set of trial and error. But then the game says it cannot reach Bethesda online for the creation account. Firewalls and such were turned off for testing purposes, with no results.

So my question is, can WINE / PlayOnLinux reach the internet? Can it do it by default, does it needs setup and so on?

Thanks for any hints.

Oh by the way, this wasn't any official version of the game, just torrent I've fetched... :roll:
