gta5(steam)

Post by Keavo »

im new to linux and have only had it for about 2 weeks but i cant for the life of me figure out how to get Grand Theft Auto 5 to work .i have searched all over the web and have made little progress. the furthest i have gotten is to the rockstar games launcher loading screen and it just loads forever .i found a proton on the internet (4.21-ge-2) but it dosnt get me far.
also ,i am wondering if mods will work on linux for gta5.

thanks ,jack

I'm not aware of a Linux version of GTA5. Perhaps it will work in a VM with Windows?

I'll bet it can. But as to whether it can run GTA5 to your preferences, only you can answer that.

You certainly can, but it's my limited understanding that Windows needs to be installed first, as its installer will use the entire drive by default. I've also heard that if you're going to edit Windows partitions, it's best to use its own partition editor.

Be aware that using Proton will install Wine components on your system.
