I am having a problem with launching multiple games
Warhammer w40k gladius
Metro exodus
War Thunder
All these games are linux compatible
In War Thunders case it used to work with no issues
If I launch steam from the terminal its stuck in offline mode
Also I had the same issue before I install the oibaf-ppa

Can anyone provide an up to date guide on removing the oibaf mesa drivers?
The update manager is advising new kernel updates and I don't want to risk anything breaking

The best way to make sure they are removed is to revert to a Timeshift snapshot before they were installed.
The instructions on the Oibaf page indicate: === Revert to original drivers ===
To revert to standard Ubuntu drivers type the following in a prompt shell:
$ sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
$ sudo ppa-purge ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers
It's my understanding that will stop future updates. I have heard from some people in the past that it did not remove the already installed drivers, but I do not know if that has changed.
I have already tried that there has been no future updates since
ppa purge gets caught in dependency hell winds up removing system components and then
I have to use use Timeshift to wind the system back and back to square one again.
The feedback I've heard from others regarding oibaf has unfortunately been similar. I do not know a good way to remove it other than using a snapshot.
I have heard only positive feedback from those using kisak-ppa for mesa, so I usually recommend it for those needing/wanting a mesa version newer than what Mint provides.
Thanks for the help
I'll try a timeshift restore and see if the updates help with the gameplay
If that doesn't help its has to be a full uninstall/reinstall
The recommendation for upgrading to LM20.2 is to take a Timeshift snapshot before attempting the upgrade. If you do that, you will get the opportunity to try a different way (with or without the PPA) should whatever you try first does not work to your liking.
The upgrade to LM20.2 just came out, so time will need to pass to get feedback on what might cause an issue.
