warning steam library folder weirdness

Post by cretsiah »

So those of us who usually like to have our games on a seperate drive/ folder are going to have issues with suddenly missing game entries and game folder location entries....

steams default library location doesnt appear to be affected ( home>user>steam>debian-install )
but
+ library folder from steam>settings> downloads>steam library folders second or third location does (drive 2> user> steam library 2)
so does
steam>library

effects:
- always on
over time the game entries disappear
- reboot
complete removal of any launchable entries
complete removal of library folder locations

however games do NOT appear to be deleted.

question..

if i use Thunar>folder location> open terminal here

what is the command i would need to use to try and open a game with steam ??

i thought it went something like steam proton [game id] but im not sure
