Re: What are we playing nowadays?
I am playing Death Rally. It's a car racing game from the nineties . I just got to know that it is available in Steam & has been made free https://www.w3spot.com/2021/08/how-to-d ... -free.html . Anyone else played it?
Re: What are we playing nowadays?
I thought I'd finished playing World of Warcraft, but having just had 2 weeks leave I seem to have spent most of that time levelling & gearing my Druid

Splitgate its a fun arena style shooter, think Quake mixed with Destiny with Halo that also has you using portals to move around the maps. It is also native on linux (if anybody didn't know yet)

Dota 2. After playing non-stop to get the 100hours to enabled ranked, I completely stopped for some time, but finally got back into it again.

I've been playing the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. Works perfectly through Proton. It provides the nostalgia from the NES version, but is significantly easier.
I've also been playing Dragon Age 2. I had that game for a long time and never got around to playing it. Works fine through WINE and I was even able to import my old save game files from Dragon Age: Origins.

Haven't tested it recently, but Diablo III did work on Wine/Lutris without issue when I played it. Hoping the Diablo II remaster also works when it's released - later this month I believe.

Re: What are we playing nowadays?
I like playing SuperTuxKart. It's an awesome 3D racing kart game. It's also free and open source. There are like different maps that you could choose from to start racing. You need to finish the story mode though to unlock more levels. There are also other game modes such as mulitplayer, football but with cars and also you get to play a game mod where you could knock people down.
Tip that is like the only game I play on my Linux PC.

Paradox games are running real well on Linux. I was surprised how smooth Stellaris was on my laptop.
Re: What are we playing nowadays?
Escape from Tarkov, Diablo II, Stellaris, any early Command & Conquer game, and a host of other games.
I need to finish my playthrough of Witcher 3, but I have so many games I'd like to play, that it's hard to do just that.
I'm rather disappointed that we as the consumer have become accustomed to recent releases of half-baked games, especially from major developers. No game has ever released without some sort of bug, or small issues, but when you have companies like EA/DICE release a new Battlefield game that was delayed and had several beta iterations and is still riddled with game-breaking bugs is ridiculous.
It doesn't help that I find myself losing enjoyment playing titles I grew up with (like Diablo II) just because it doesn't feel like fun anymore, but more like work.

Re: What are we playing nowadays?
So I picked up Tales of Arise and it works perfectly trough Steam's Proton.
Neato game.
Neato game.
Re: What are we playing nowadays?
Was actually able to get the CnCNET.org Tiberian Sun client installed and working for the most part. Music didn't install, nor did the campaign videos, but that's probably because I used the installer from the site instead of getting it all through the Terminal.
