I've installed LMDE with upgrade to UP6 on 06/01/13 on 3 PC's, after that only one package got an update - mint-common.
Not just Debian packages - even Mint specific such firefox and thunderbird already have new versions - how fast they usually get into repository?
I'm just worried is it OK - no updates for three weeks in a rolling distro, or I miss something in my apt configuration?

I can second this with same experience. So, please, any hint available?

See if this helps.

But it's not a real rolling distro.reivaX wrote:no updates for three weeks in a rolling distro

in lmde you should use
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Re: No updates for 3 weeks?
As I wrote originally, I did upgrade to UP6, so that's all right with upgrade/dist-upgrade, but, if you insist: :-)
Well, it it appears that packages of the basic LMDE upgraded to UP6 did not require any updates for the whole of January? Definitely strange, as for me :-)
As strange as the Mint packages of Firefox\Thunderbird (18 and 17.0.2 originally released on January 8) - still not in repo...
Code: Select all
~$ LANG=en_US && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree

Calculating upgrade... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Re: No updates for 3 weeks?
I think there is a freeze until after Debian 7 is released.
